Executive Director Greg Miller checks in from the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference in Miami.

I’m reaching you today from Miami, where I’m attending the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference.

This is a much smaller conference than MJBizCon in Las Vegas last November, and that’s by design. This event is the premier gathering of cannabis entrepreneurs and investors in North America, providing us the opportunity to rub shoulders with many of the figures who will shape the industry.

I’ll be meeting with cannabis executives from across the spectrum, and I’ll be doing exclusive one-on-one interviews with many of them.

The folks I’ve already spoken to are very enthusiastic about 2019, and for the same reasons we are.

I wanted to take a minute while I was here to record this short video to go a little more in depth about one of those reasons in particular – and why this conference is the perfect place to talk about it.

Take a look.

Greg Miller
Executive Director, National Institute for Cannabis Investors

  1. Hi Greg or whoever:

What do you think of the comments I copied below from our possible new AG…which is why our stocks tanked yesterday.

What are your thoughts/concerns/input on this: Barr is totally against any federal legalization.

It should be noted that Barr also said in the Senate confirmation hearing on Tuesday the “current system is untenable” and that he supports federal marijuana prohibition.
“We should have a federal law that prohibits marijuana everywhere, which I would support myself, because I think it’s a mistake to back off on marijuana,” Barr said, according to a CBS News live blog.

Please let me know what you think.

    Thanks, C. Cahak

  4. I believe his thoughts are on cannabis with thc…not hemp…most backers McConnell and other politicians are for hemp…

  5. I think Barr must be severly uninformed on the value of cannabis for medical and uses other than getting high for pleasure. I think the benefits it givesfor relief of anxiety, pain and other proven health benefits are reason enough that it should be legal.
I also believe that anyone who wants to grow it on their own land should not be prevented from doing so by a restriction of the number of plants they are allowed to grow or by having to pay a very expensive fee to their state to be able to grow it. I am a 78 year old who is able to grow anything and I want to grow my own cannabis plants both for my own use and to sell for a little extra income which I need badly to pay off medical and dental bills and the state of Oregon has such a high fee to legally grow cannabis that I cannot do it. I feel this is a crime and that an individual should be able to grow it for themselves because it costs so much to buy it.

  7. Hi Greg Miller,

I am writing this note to enquire if I can get an Investor in Cannabis for medical purpose in Lesotho Southern Africa from the USA or Canada. The government recently passed a law where by cannabis can be grown and harvested for medicinal purposes and for export of processed products.
    Thanking you in anticipation,
    Regards,
